A settlement on the western coast of Istria, north of the Lima Bay. The main economic activities are agriculture, wine-growing, fishing and tourism. There is a sports airfield nearby. Vrsar is known for the variety of its facilities - hotels on the shore, beautiful and well-maintained beaches and campsites, sports and recreational activities. Particularly famous is the Koversada naturist camp, one of the largest of its kind in Europe. The town has preserved its medieval layout of narrow streets, passages and picturesque squares. The abandoned castle on a hill is being restored. Next to it stands the Romanesque Church of sv. Marija (St. Mary).

VRSAR MARINA (052) 441-064, 180 berths at a depth of up to 14 m. 80 of them are commercial. There is also a 4000 m2 platform, a 35-ton lift, and an engine repair shop. Large boats can moor at the shore stern-to. The old pier is occupied by fishing boats. Beware of the shallow water in the harbour.
