Cervat Porat
A modern, urban tourist settlement surrounding a natural harbor on the western coast of Istria. It was built in 1970-80 for around 7000 inhabitants, and is the first example of a planned tourist apartment settlement on the eastern Adriatic coast. There is a marina in the Lunga Bay. Next to the settlement lie the remains of an Ilyrian fort and a Medieval tower. An archaeological site testifies to the existence of the settlement of Portus Cervera in antiquity.
Cervar-Porat Marina (052) 436-661 - It offers 300 berths, 50 spaces for dry storage, an engine repair shop, a 10-ton lift, a launch ramp and a marine shop. The wide and rugged bay is protected from all winds except northwesterly ones. The depth of the sea is around 18 km in the middle of the bay and 10 km in the marina. The northern coast is shallow.
