Zupa Dubrovacka

The collective name for the area between Dubrovnik and Cavtat which consists of Donja Zupa with the settlements along the Zupa Bay (Kupari, Srebreno, Mlini, Soline and Plat) and Gornji Zupa in the hinterland. Once a distinctly agricultural area witl typical Mediterranean fishing villages, it has become a well known holiday resort with hotels due to its beautiful coast am beaches. The war of independence in 1991 and 1992 causes severe damage to this area, but the tourist facilities are generally being restored. The Zupa Bay with its coves and sand^ beaches on the wooded coast has always been a pleasant holiday destination for the inhabitants of Dubrovnik.
