Last weekend, from 4th until 6th of October, Split hosted the first CRO.YA Charter Show, where prestigious domestic and foreign exhibitors had the opportunity to exhibit some of the most luxurious crewed yachts available for charter in the Adriatic.
It was a highlight in the Mediterranean yachting calendar, hosted by the Croatian Yacht Association in the beautiful coastal city of Split, Croatia. The show featured a range of luxurious motor yachts, gulets, catamarans, and sailing yachts, with vessels ranging from 20 to 55 meters in length, each catered by a professional crew that found their place on Zapadna obala, near the city's historic center.
Around 40 luxury yachts were on display, including highlights like the 132-foot Mirage IV, 158-foot Freedom, the 132-foot Happy Me, the 170-foot Scorpios, the 115-foot To Je To, the 162-foot Lady Gita and much more. It’s hard to name all these exceptional yachts, as well as charters, fleet operators, and central agents responsible for the fact that we had an opportunity to see all these luxury vessels in one place.
Danielis Yachting is already successfully cooperating with some of them like Touch Adriatic, Yacht IN, Ocean Sailing House, Adriatic Sailing, Feel Yachting, Otium Yachts, Master Charter, Goolets and the list will hopefully go on.
Established specifically for professionals in the yacht charter industry, the event brought together yacht owners, brokers, agents, and other key representatives from across the globe. Brokers and agents used the event to explore yachts, meet captains and crews, taste the culinary offer of the yachts, and assess the quality of charter services in Croatia, ensuring they can confidently recommend these vessels to their clients. A significant aspect of the CRO.Y.A. Charter Show is its focus on the crew and services that make yacht charters memorable.
The show gave a possibility for charter companies to highlight the professionalism and expertise of their captains, chefs, and crew members. Attendees could interact with the crew, observe their skills in action, and understand how they ensure an exceptional charter experience, from navigation to fine dining. An estimated 200 agents from around the world visited the show.
Danielis Yachting team also attended the CRO.Y.A. Charter Show. We had the honor to be invited by the Ocean Sailing House to a lunch prepared for agents on the boat Sunreef 70 AMBER ONE power catamaran, as well as on the SAN LORENZO SL96 'DESTINO' motor yacht hosted by Patrick Marine Yachts. The divine delicacies of the chefs in several courses were completed with a great selection of Croatian wines. Beautiful gifts made of Brač stone from the Museum of the City of Split and some very practical gifts were a great spice of lunching on board.
Beyond the yacht exhibitions, the event hosted a variety of activities, including a chefs' competition that showcased culinary talent onboard the yachts, and a "Designer Water" contest by CYBA aimed at promoting sustainable practices by eliminating plastic bottles on yachts. To get to know each other better and not be deprived of evening socializing, the CRO.YA team took care and gave us an extremely pleasant, cheerful, gastronomically completed evening at the welcome party at Fabrique Pub.
With Croatia’s reputation as one of the world’s top luxury yachting destinations, the CRO.Y.A. Charter Show plays a critical role in promoting the region as a prime destination for luxury maritime tourism.
Although only the first, which could not be fathomed for anything, everyone agrees it is a great way of promoting the country’s spectacular coastline as a top charter destination and the event that will draw yacht enthusiasts and industry leaders from around the globe, making it one of the key events on the global yachting calendar. With its combination of luxury, innovation, and unmatched Adriatic charm, the show stands as a testament to Croatia’s rising status in the yachting world and has provided a place on the map of international nautical shows of luxury vessels.
