Located only 11 nautical miles from Split it is the perfect first day destination. Before you get to Milna it is worth stopping at the nearby cove Bobovišće for a swim (it is also a great place to drop anchor for the night).
The bay is located on the north-west side of the island Brač and is considered the island safest and most beautiful harbour of the island.
There are two very well equipped marinas, which are surrounded by typical Mediterranean small town architecture and dense pine forests. The scene is perfect for lazy lounging on the boat and watching the people go about their business, and when the sun goes down its a short walk to one of the many restaurants in the village (ask your skipper for recommendations).
If you are staying for more than a day, it is possible to rent a bike or car and explore the nearby coves especially the Lučice bay, which is a perfect place for swimming and the nearby restaurant (ask for Lemešić) is one of the best around.
Its no wonder that the emperor Diocletian anchored his fleet in Milna while his palace in Split was being built, the guy knew how to live.
